The Mission
Fractal Sounds was founded in September 2021 by artist and sound designer Francis Bousquet also known as progressive psychedelic trance artist : Black Marvin.
The project was created with the goal to provide innovative sonic tools for underground electronic music producers.
He started his sound design career working anonymously for presets and samples brands, but felt little to no artistic stimulation while he was asked to create sounds only for market purposes.
Being understimulated artistically, while having an intense drive to create inevitably led to the creation of Fractal Sounds.
The Sounds
Fractal Sounds offer presets for the best software and hardware synthesizers. We don’t necessarily create content for the most popular synths. We choose the projects that will give the best results and also the most innovating sounds.
We are also at the forefront when it comes to providing quality wavetables and granular sources for our favorite tools.
A section of the website is also dedicated to the Microfreak from Arturia, which is a synthesizer that we enjoy a lot at the Fractal Sounds studio.
